Kenny Model Cont.

I have Been Working on my model of Kenny For the past few days.
I started with some feathers and then moved onto the base body model.
Getting The Base body shape was a bit of a challenge for me. as i researched into Bird Anatomy a lot of birds have a bent spine that sits on a angle of  70-80 degrees. My first attempt ignored this as i wanted the model to be more anthropomorphic.  giving him a straight spine and aiming for a more human skeleton. This looked really weird with the legs and i was struggling to build a smooth bend into the tail.
to compensate for this i built the tail and feet and lined them up with the body then  started to manipulate and alter the body to fit the curvature of the body that i required to connect the legs and tail.
This was an strange method to reach a end goal other than creating the base mesh ans just refining it. I chose to instead segment and build the model piece by piece. My reasoning for this comes from my previous two models (Trev and Will). My limited understanding of there anatomy and how they move made creating the models difficult and i wasn't able to fully achieve the design i was a aiming for.
by using this segmented method i could focus on one aspect or feature  of the animal and make sure i achieve the desired look. as well as being able to learn on a smaller more focused scale and then putting that knowledge together to build the character. like a Lego figure.
